How long does the Blueprint take, and what do I end up with?

Short answer: Timing is agreed around your circumstances; the detailed map gives an indicative planning sequence. Blueprint produces a written plan connecting your values, Money Psychology, happiness styles, definition of enough and investment structure to retirement readiness. Life adds personal-finance review, couples alignment and deeper retirement income and later-life care. Blueprint is complimentary with $1M+ in assets under management with Selanis; Life is complimentary with $2M+. These thresholds refer to assets we manage, not total household wealth. Ongoing management fees and applicable fund, custody and third-party costs still apply. Below these thresholds, the relevant planning fee applies.

Why it works this way

Nine weeks is deliberate rather than slow. The reflective steps need time between sessions — people change their answers on values and goals once they have sat with them for a week, and those revised answers are the accurate ones.

Timelines move with life. A client mid-move, mid-sale or with a vesting date can compress the design stages; a couple doing the identity work properly sometimes takes longer, and that is usually the engagement producing the most value.

The final review agrees responsibilities and next steps. In Private Wealth Management the work continues through implementation and portfolio reviews. The expensive mistake: Expecting a document instead of a set of decisions

The Blueprint is valuable because of the decisions it forces — what the money is for, when work becomes optional, what you will stop doing. A thick PDF with no decisions in it is what most people already have.

What to do

  1. Agree the timeline before you start — We agree the scope and schedule around your situation, with time for reflection between conversations.
  2. Do the reflective steps honestly — Steps 4 to 9 determine the quality of everything designed afterwards.
  3. Agree implementation responsibilities — Make clear who does what next, including portfolio management and ongoing reviews.
